If it is unlike any other presidency, then maybe you should ask yourself how is it a political system can allow this situation to happen in the first place. Bush the younger, and Obama were both unqualified politically, certainly on a global level. For decades the Presidency has been bought, it being more about the amount of money being raised than about policy.

 

All that has happened now is that an individual who didn't need a party apparatus bought the Presidency for himself.  IMO

All black people are likely to be affected.  Trump wants to institute a national "stop-and-frisk" police program of the kind that was recently ruled unconstitutional by a judge in New York.  Blacks and other minorities were overwhelmingly the target of the illegal stop-and-frisk searches by police.  Now police departments all over the country know that they have the green light to stop-and-frisk.  There will be court cases against it, of course, but eventually one of those court cases will reach the Supreme Court and stop-and-frisk will become the law of the land. 

 

This is not some paranoid fantasy.  This is what Trump has announced and not a single Republican condemned.

I need to get my head out of reading abusive crapola from non-Americans that clearly don't have the beginning of clue of how serious this is (in a negative way) for many millions of Americans.

I happen to be proud that I am not a rabid lemming democrat. It appears that enough lemmings have fallen over the cliff to lose the election. Thank goodness that we MAY be headed for a more prosperous America. It certainly can't get any worse that it has been for the past eight years. How in the world can anyone think Obama has done a good job? We couldn't possibly have a worse president and enough people finally realized that fact.

The stop and frisk stopped many murders. Remember the old "If it looks like a duck"? I really don't understand the objection to the highly successful operation. I guess the bleeding hearts don't mind having gangs murder innocent people.

Also consider the white people living in (or passing through for whatever reason) black/minority areas. They are often (and frequently incorrectly) assumed to be fascist/racist trumpists and receive hostility because of that. This is already happening. Hopefully, this isn't the beginning of a race war, but the symptoms are starting. 

 

The only good, hopeful news I can glean from all this is that the people that the trumpists are going after when you add them TOGETHER are indeed already the majority (including non-trumpist women). So even though he's going to trash the supreme court with radical right wing extremists that will have a negative impact for at least 50 years, the demographic wave over time is on the side of the anti-fascist resistance.
