Central Westgate: new/interesting/good restaurants there?

Featured Replies

I am particularly interested in buffet and/or sushi places.

Thanks!

Oishy bufet and loads of other sushi places.. its is packed with them. Its a big mall so there is plenty of food but its the same as in other big malls all chain restaurants not many others.

LIke the name says, its yet another Centran, so: its all new-and its not fully opened yet, and the normal you find everywhere same-same chain thingies. So, nothing really interesting.

Area round has some old-style remaining places, there is a BigC and an old Carrefour-just across road, turned into bigCJUMBO with their usual foodcourts and again some chainy things.

Unless you go for the ride on that new uncrowded purple MRT or have bisnis to do in BangBuaThong/Bang Yai no need at all to go that far out. Around halfway and in Nonthburi along that line is yet another smaller Centran-with Robinson, also with a floor full of eateries and cinema-Yaek Nonthaburi stop.

As for now plenty of free red buses from Sanam Laung too.

Its been a year.. believe me its fully open. I have been there countless times. Sure there are still new shops opening but its up and running.

But your quite right better not to go there if you don't live near.

You can't really compare the Central with Robinson with central Westgate.. even the mall ngam wong wan is far smaller. Its one of the biggest malls around (if you don't count the ones in the center of BKK)

There is a Japanese Tepanyaki restaurants  were you are served by robots dressed as Samoerai

There is a new buffet restaurant which has recently opened on the second floor right next to Wine Connection. The difference with this place is that the buffet is International and has dishes form many different countries, including Italy and the US along with the usual Thai and Japanese.

Thanks! Could you give a name or price of the buffet?

Sorry can't recall the name, but you can't miss it, the decor theme is a circus, and as I said it is next to Wine Connection which is on the second floor near the big circular fountain at the main entrance. I believe the price is 499 baht.
