OK it's nearly that time of year for me.

are non imm o multis still obtainable inside asia?

if so where?

if not what do i need to show the uk embassy to get a letter off them saying i earn 40,000BHT a month.

i have letters from the council of my home town in the UK going back about 2 years which state how much rent is being paid to me from my rented property back in Engliand, which is more than 40,000BHT per month.

would these do?

for me i would rather get a multi if possible.

Cheers chaps

Well you would be the first report here of not being able to obtain a multi entry non immigrant visa from either of these Consulates recently if you provide them the normal marriage certificate and have copy of wife ID card in case it is asked for. I am assuming you do have a Thai wife.

There is no requirement for income to obtain a visa. But if you have proof of 40k family income you could extend your stay for a year at a time from immigration and I expect your proof would be OK at the UK Embassy. But you stated in your first post you preferred a multi entry visa so provided the two consulates that issue them in the area.

If you want 100% visa requirements is not what you want to be asking about - they do change and are subject to interpretation.

I reccomend singapore. If you are married to a Thai and take a copy of your marriage certificate and wifes ID card, you should get the visa. If you take you wife with you, you original wedding cert, and any other doccuments you feel may help, it will help you alot more if they think you are dodgy. Just call the embassy and speak to them on the phone before you book your ticket. I got mine there afew weeks ago now and the satff there were very polite and helpfull. I also had my wife and original marriage cert there which helped........................

FYI

I am in Penang and have only applied for a single entry Non-Imm B as that's all the RTC is issuing at present unless the applicant has a "Thai wife" or whatever.

RAW.
