3bb internet stability on Koh Phangan

Featured Replies

Hello!

I've found a good house to spend next ~5 month on Koh Phangan, but there is a problem: cellular connection is almost not working in that area.

Therefore backup channel is unavailable and I have to rely on 3bb while internet connection stability is very important for me.
Could anyone give me average quantity of days or hours when 3bb has no connectivity?

Thanks in advance.

You are looking for problems anyway ! Find a house where you can get a 3G mobile signal AND adsl internet. Any other solution is wrong.

Is it copper wire or fibre optic?

Had ADSL before and tend to go down with the rain.

Now have 200/50 MB fiber optic line from 3BB, but I am located on Samui.

To Mankey (OP) you might want to give the location roughly on KP ...... you may get a better answer for a particular area!

Generally at least on Samui 3bb service is very good, regular line or Fiber ... Some areas of KP are good too.  Even ask at the 3 bb office, they should be able to tell you.

I agree. Best to find a more suitable place with an established and stable connection to spare you from all the hassles. Good luck!
