Hello all,

Coming to Thailand for first time and wondering if I should buy a digital camera in U.S. or wait until I get to Bangkok. I can get a decent 3 megapixel camera here for about US$175.00 How are prices in BKK?

Also, can anyone tell me a low-cost phonecard to call from Bangkok to Los Angeles?

yer best off getting it from the US mate, there about the same here.. Then ya can have a piss about with it over there and be ready to lock and load the second ya get off the plane...

Cameras are cheaper in the US.

For cheap calls to the US use a callback service. This can also be set up for a mobile/cell phone.

For cheap calls to the US use a mobile phone. I went with DTAC prepaid, 300 baht cards. I was able to call the US for twenty minutes at a time for well under the 300. One twenty minute call from the US to my mobile was about $40. Do the math.
