Older falang kicked by vendor at Boat Avenue

Featured Replies

I just went to the market at Boat Avenue to get some food when I saw some Thai kicking an older falang (40-50years?) in his back and throwing profanities at him in the middle of all the people. I saw the falang just before that appologized to him. I didn't know what was going on but many people around there were pretty shocked at what happened. The falang was visibly in pain after the kick and just tried to get away. Later I heard that the Thai guy (30ish) was a local vendor who had sold a watch to the falang and there was some issue with it so the falang wanted to return it which the vendor refused. Then the falang threw the watch on the stand and walked away. No police in sight even though it's a very busy venue and "security" was completely uninterested in interfering. That's the kind of crap which makes tourists not come again.

Is that market organized by some company? I'm sure management would like to hear about such violent behavior amongst their sellers...

I think they rather not want to hear about it

Did you read the story about the paraglider today. I will assume much the same blame game with this.
