g,day...just enquiring how many times can i bring my thai girlfriend to australia in a certain period.

in 2016 she has come twice on 3 month visa..end feb-start may.(left 1 week early for death of brother).

next start sept-start dec..(7th)..im going over end jan and applying for 6 month visa for her..

will it be ok to go for start march?..thanks for any help

There is nothing in the legislation that would restrict you from applying for another tourist visa however immigration may question if your gf is a real tourist given that she has spent nearly 6 months in Australia last year.

See how you go but you may need to think of some other visa pathways for your girlfriend. Student, spouse or employment?

thx snooze...each time for the 3 months we put down that we in a relationship and want to get to know each other better..

been seeing each other since aug.2013..and her mum very sick...sept 2015 mum die.then wait the 100 day then she come to australia..

so we going to apply for 6 mth visa  as soon as i get to bkk. then sort out a partner visa and hopefully get that in while there.(6wks).

apparently app 17mth wait on partner visa (47sp)..so hoping we get 2 x 6 month visa in meantime..anyone got any tips to use in the wording of the visa,s..in intro letter and stat dec..etc...thanks....

also she 39yo..so working visa out...and a lot of $ for student visa..been told.?...and spouse thought you had to be living together for at least 12 mths..?

The best advice about visas is be honest if you are found to giving incorrect information there are big consequences like exclusion periods for applying for visas.

Also watch out for those 8503 no further stay conditions on those tourist visas - once you get to the end of those visas you can not get extensions or apply for another Australian visa onshore

thanks Snooze...yes im honest in my visa aplications..just sometimes there is certain ways to say the same thing that is more benificial..

i understand that you can apply for 2-3 x 3mth visa..and same for 6mth visa..?

but i believe we been seeing each other enough to see if we be good couple for marriage..

so would like to go along those lines..if we can get the 6mth visa can we apply for the 309,

at same time?...thanks ..Slick
