Thai mum on Ice

Featured Replies

My sons very good friend has a major problem his ex girl friend, they have a 7 year old boy together but broke up when he was 2, he was born in the UK and has a British passport, he has been living in Thailand for the last 2 years with his mum but dad has always been in Thailand seeing him every 2-3 weeks, the son has no Thai citizenship only British.

The mother is taking Ice and can't get off it the father wants to look after his son full time but Thai law mostly supports the mother, does anyone know what he can do to look after his son without major problems.

He is happy to live in Thailand or back in Uk.

Thanks

Mate, if mummy is on ice full time it will not be long before the son is discarded anyway. Not good advice but if he can wait he will undoubtedly get given the kid in the fullness of time as she gets progressively addicted to the stuff and loses interest in every other aspect of life.

sad but I have seen it happen too many times now out here in LoI

Get your friend to email Isaanlawyers as my friend did on a legal adoption issue and they emailed back with about 12 questions answered. I'm aware there are many legal firms to choose from but these guys were very helpful for free !!
