How cold is it

Featured Replies

Must agree, on a normal winter I have to close the door to my verandah. This year I just close my insect screen.

I'm way down here on Phuket and this is the worst year I've ever experienced in all my twenty years here. It started off with the same cold winds from China as January through March, searing heat for six weeks after Songkran and not a bloody day without torrential rain ever since. Sitting wrapped up in a blanket up until around 10 am when the wind drops and then the rain starts late afternoon and all night, again. I'm not here for the 'culture' and thank you for being brave enough to post the fact that it is damned cold against the smug 'lovin' the cold posts' from those who would very likely put up with sub Siberian temperatures, for the 'culture'.

While we're doing cat photos, I'll repost one I put on the thread about Truevisions.  We can't possibly unsubscribe right now.  The two Truevisions boxes are being used almost 24/7. Well, not when we're in the bed and then they can join us.  The cats have figured out how to turn on the Truevisions boxes to increase the heat output.  They just wish they were a little larger:

i thort it was rather tame also . first year here was down to 3-4degs most mornings .

i built a fireplace in my house here years ago and started it some days ago

all i need now is a fur rug on the floor and lay with a sexy girl

please note

new report in oz 98% of country has a feral cat problem now

years ago some states put a bounty on them

20 small native marsupials have become extinct in oz from the cats

so do the planet a favor and lock the bloody things up

I wish they would put a bounty on some of the owners. My neighbors out here in the village split up and left  all their cats and dogs on their own. My wife and I are feeding them but we don't want them in our yard. This weather is not ideal, but much warmer than last year.

Maybe we can start a cat section of TV for all the cat people.

I don`t feel the cold myself, but my indicator is when the girlfriend`s face starts to turn blue and she stops moving, is when it`s time to turn on the heaters.

I generally clear the oral cavity at that point.

When it's 19 and you are considering a winter coat, hat, long pants and mittens...

it might just be you.

Most probably your post is tounge-in-cheek, but what a perfect (purrfect) idea...

BTW, my cat has also become a heat-seeking missile during the cool season: nesting on the Truvisions and DVD box as well (and I've thought the same thing--can't cancel now!)

If we had a TV Cat Forum, we cat worshippers could let our freak flags fly, whilst simultaneously sparing the unwilling/unenlightened from our unfettered feline fetishes, and make the world a happier place.

So, "how cold is it" (no question mark) is about the weather or a cat with a cloth on it?

I think discussing pussies is much more exciting then talking about the weather.

Then you and a certain Presidents-Elect might have a great deal to discuss.

It's just cold enough to make me insert the insulated liner into my motorcycle jacket, and to wear pants without perforations (for ventilation) during my sunrise rides- it can get pretty nippy up around Doi Saket or Samoeng with the early-morning fog.  It's the best part of the year for riding.:)

  • 3 weeks later...

IMHO not a cold 'Cool' season this year.

I live in a block of Condo's, I am just up and about and someone else in Condo agrees with me for they are now at 03.22 running their air conditioner.
