tt&t defunct?

Featured Replies

What is up with tt&t?

In particular my internet is supplied by 3BB over a line supplied by tt&t but billed by ToT.

It is impossible to contact tt&t and their website leads nowhere. Although I have paid every month, ToT can't find a record of the payments in their system. And TT&T haven't sent me a bill in six months, so I use the old bill to keep on paying.

ToT tell me TT&T are slowly ramping down and not taking on new subscribers.

They also offer to transfer me to a ToT line for about 1,300 Baht. However, because their system shows I still owe several months to TT&T I would have to pay that first. I showed them the receipts and now they are trying to sort it.

Anybody else got these issues?

TT&T is basically going out of business/declaring bankruptcy. ...maybe already out of business.     Around 6 months in my MIL's village landlines just stopped working for everyone with TT&T without notice.   People in the MIL's village had to switch to TOT for landline service.  There is an article in the 22 Nov 16 Bangkok Post titled, "TOT ordered to cover TT&T lapses" which talks the bankruptcy proceeding regarding TT&T.

The internet provider for TT&T split from them a few years ago (6 years?) and set up 3BB as an independent business.

When 3BB needed to do some work on the TT&T lines they were refused access, so they ran their own lines to subscribers.

Surprised you're still getting your internet over TT&T lines.

There were a few on this forum who lost their internet service because they were too far away for 3BB to set up nodes and run lines just for them.

Others in the area had TT&T phone lines but weren't interested in the internet.

You want to have some real fun, try and cancel your TT&T account

Last  May I wanted to close the account and went first to TOT on Pattaya Klang to get the paperwork, instead, they then sent me to an office in Naklua, where they gave me a form to sign, and then said that I had to go back to the TOT office and pay the bill

That was the last straw as far as I was concerned,  TT&T can come and find me for the 36 Baht I still owe them

I always loved their slogan that they were a sister company of TOT,  what the heck does that mean anyway

It means they were the Ugly Sister....not to imply the other sister looks much better.
