Southern flood death toll updated to 41

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department Sunday updated the flood death toll in 12 southern provinces to 41.

 

Chachai Promlert, the director general of the department, told a press conference that the massive flooding affected 1.62 million people in 5,613 villages in 119 districts.

 

He said floodwaters had subsided in Yala, Ranong, Narathiwat, Pattani, Krabi and Chumphon while aprts of Phatthalung, Songkhla, Trang, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Prachuap Khiri Khan were still inundated.
