Hotel Prices Feb 2017

Featured Replies

just wondering is the first week of feb peak period for hotels?

it seems that some of the hotels that I used to stay at have gone up 50% for this period, but when I  search those dates in march they are a lot cheaper?

Looking at hotels sukhumvit, riverside

Chinese new year?  It's January 28th this year.  I'd avoid Bangkok's major attractions like the plague.

yes the first week of FEB is with no doubt one of the most busy weeks of the year as the Chinese new year starts on the 28th of January, so the period until the 5th of February is peak season as peak as it gets in Thailand. The following week until 12th of Feb will still see higher travel activity by Chinese, before it gets back to "normal" February numbers.

Prices follow demand, as is always the case
