I have to go to Lao for a 90 day tourist visa, whats the drill?

What do I need to bring, I am married to Thai, she has house.

How long does process take?

Whats best way of travel?

Vientianne, PP, copy of PP, 3 photos, application form

Savvanakhet, all of the above, plus bus or plane ticket out of Thailand, bank statement showing at least 20,000 Baht and hotel bookings or Condo ownership with your name on

I would choose Vientianne if I were you

Apply one morning, pick up the next afternoon

Best travel would depend on where you are now

Sounds good but whats the difference?

I received my non o multi yesterday from savannakhet, the documents you need are.

1. Copy of marriage certificate

2. Original marriage certificate ( they ask for a look at this)

3. Copy of your passport, signed and dated

4. Copy of wife's ID card, signed and dated by your wife.

5. Copy of wife's house book, signed and dated by your wife.

6. 2 x photos

7. 2000 baht single entry or 5000 baht multi entry

i took a bank statement just in case it was asked for but wasn't asked for and also no flight booking was required.

With a tourist visa you will get 1 x 60 day entry and you are required to show a recent bank statement and outbound travel ticket.

with a single entry non o visa you get 1 x 90 day entry, no financial proof or travel ticket required.

with a multiple non o visa you get unlimited 90 day entries for 1 year, no financial proof or travel ticket required.

if you are married then the non o multiple is definitely the way forward.

you apply in the morning on day 1 before 11 am and pick up after 2 pm on day 2.

as for travel I am not too sure for the best way from pattaya as I live only a couple of hours drive from the mukdahan friendship bridge.

i know laos airlines flies to savannakhet from Bangkok but it's quite expensive (6000 to 9000 baht return) and you are required to stay at least one day extra in savannakhet due to the flight times

Only 2 photos required for the SETV, but maybe u included the one photo required for the Laos visa. Yes that would make 3.

I was going to Savannahkhet tomorrow for an SETV, but Im not too well so Im going to get a 30 day extension from my local immigration in Nakhon Phanom instead. This will mean a border run when it expires to get another 30 day visa exempt entry to take me to my flight home to the UK  date early  in April. Can someone informed please confirm that 30 day land border entries have been restored, and that it is no longer 15 days. Thanks.
