Austrian authorities seeking Hitler double seen around birthplace

VIENNA (Reuters) - Austrian authorities are investigating reports of a man appearing in public in Adolf Hitler's birthplace as the Nazi dictator's double, including the distinctive mustache, haircut and clothing.

 

"I have often seen this gentlemen in Braunau and wonder if this means something," the Oberoesterreichische Nachrichten paper cited a local resident as saying on his Facebook page alongside a picture of the man it said resembled Hitler.

 

Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, then part of Austria-Hungary, in 1889.

 

Prosecutors confirmed the report.

 

The man, estimated to be 25 to 30 years old, was last seen in a local bookstore browsing through magazines about World War Two, adding he had identified himself in a local bar as "Harald Hitler.

 

On at least one occasion, he was photographed in front of the house where Hitler was born.

 

Austria's parliament voted in December to buy the three-storey house where Hitler was born, which the government has rented since 1972 to control how it is used.

 

Glorifying Hitler or the Nazis is a crime in Austria, which Nazi Germany annexed in 1938.

Remember when i was in Ecuador,years ago,there was this guy he was 

the spitting image of Hitler,same hairstyle,mustache,it was on a bus,

and to cap it all he was standing and with his arm on the hanger,it

just pulled the image together.sieg heil.

They are very sensitive about Adolf in Austria.

 

I heard something recently about his  birth place house being privately owned and council wishing to compulsory acquire and demolish it but owner refusing. Might be a mixed on that.

The "Anschluss" of Austria , since 1938, was an events with which Austrian and German National Socialists in March 1938 brought about the de facto annexation of Austria by the National Socialist German Reich.

Well, they grabbed him by the ... just grabbed him. It's true! As in: in custody.

No he ain't Brazilian, he's genuine Austrian semi-mountain peasant, pure-bred in the same province as Arnold 'Arni' Schwoazenegga obviously.

Now, that's not explicitly an inbred area per se but certainly there are 'pockets' () - comparable to, say places in remote Isaan or the North over here ...

 

25 years old that bloke, not a bad performance - maybe just should've tried it over in Bavaria / Germany, again ...
