New Visa Procedures at The Danish Embassy in Bangkok

From January 1, 2007 new visa procedures will be effective at the Danish Embassy. The purpose is to give a better service and to secure a more efficient workflow.

Thai Nationals applying for a Visa to Denmark/ Schengen at the Danish Embassy in Bangkok shall be aware of the following.

According to the appointment system, applications for visa and stay permit shall be handed in by previous telephonic appointment. The Embassy is open to telephonic booking and general inquiries Monday to Thursday between 1:00 and 3:00 p m.

Personal appearance by previous appointment may then take place in the period Monday to Thursday between 9:00 and 12:00 am.

Pick-up of visa and stay permits may take place by appointment Monday to Thursday 2:00-3:00 pm.

Furthermore, applicants must be aware that for future applications the applicant himself/herself must show financial documentation (bank-statement, pay slips or other). This requirement is still effective even if the reference is asked by the Danish Immigration Service to make a financial bank guarantee. The reference can therefore no longer present financial documentation on behalf of the applicant.

From 1 December 2006 the Embassy starts taking appointments for 1 January 2007 and onwards.

Please note specific rules for Visas to the Faeroe Islands and Greenland.

The Embassy is already now taking appointments for January 1.
