I have been reading here about the problems with getting taxi's from the airport. Can you just get your hotel to pick you up? I have done this in other countries. I come out of customs and there is someone standing there with a sign with my name on it who works for the hotel and takes me there. It costs a little more than a taxi but it sure is easy, espically after a long flight.

Yes you can, at least depending on your hotel. Most of the 4 and 5 star hotels will offer this service. Needs to be booked ahead however. If you make reservations at the hotel on the internet, they may let you arrange pickup service at the time you male your reservation. It will cost you though. But like you say, it is the easiest way to go. Also your flight should arrive during the day, not too early or too late in the day. But it is possible to arrange pickup with the hotel in advance.

Yes definately....

On last visit met up with a guy/friend who saw us off at the airport and who used to be one of the company drivers with wifes old outfit where/when she worked as an accountant...10-12 years ago....in Banpoo.

She still treats him like a kid but he has obviously now grown up and wears a nice smart new uniiform and drives limos for one of the big hotels groups... (the one wots owns the green aeroplanes)

He was telling me that they are doing it but as mentioned earlier you gotta call them ( the Hotel first)..

Believe that they will eventually have a call centre /reservation desk at the airport but... takes time..
