BANGKOK: -- Top cops descended on Khao San Road last night armed with bundles of deep red roses for tourists and locals to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Regional chief Wara Pongsiri said: "I would like to represent the Thai police and say that we love you all - tourists and Thai public alike.

We will serve and protect you with all our might", reported Daily News.

Wara joined tourist police and crime suppression officers in handing out the traditional flowers of love and there were plenty of takers

among the crowds in the famous Banglamphu tourist area.

And more than a few selfies were taken with the beaming cops as tourists enjoyed the happy occasion.
