This should have he been the action immediately following a refusal to surrender whatever the reason.  Now it will be a protracted long drawn out incident, a WAT on that size of land is beyond comprehension and certainly a temple does not need that amount of land.

Will they enter with arms linked so no one can squeeze in between??

At least they have enough men to do so so those slippery Abbotts don't get away

Me Thinks he is out of the country by now

............ Dhammakaya says govt siege not 'Buddhist way' .........

And money laundering is the "Buddhist Way"?

They should also cut all electricity and water to the temple. That will make them sweat a little more and maybe cast out the rogue quicker.

The basic philosophy of Buddhism is:-

1) to lead a moral life,
(2) to be mindful and aware of thoughts and actions, and
(3) to develop wisdom and understanding.

Something appears to have gone sadly wrong here!

So looks like this abbot is a real James Bond like figure with thousands of military controlled police and army to surround his home, lucky he is not near the coast or the submarines and aircraft carriers would be at his door. And even the Junta black hoods on site to pick him off, and when they all go home because he is away for a holiday to Pattaya for a few weeks they will all feel a bit silly.

3500 troops to gain entry to a temple and the planning has taken six months goodness knows how they would access a high security

area held by armed  terrorists .
