Has anyone ordered from Gearbest.com?  Any problems with Thai customs?

I'm thinking of ordering a laptop.  Thanks.

I ordered two dual boot tablets and two cases from them a few months ago. No problems with Thai customs and, once the order was finally in the system, the service was good plus they arrived quickly as well. The biggest problem by far was trying to make a payment that they would accept. I tried two UK debit cards, three Thai debit cards and two credit cards. All were rejected by them even though they were all valid all had plenty of money in the accounts and, with no outstanding balance, the credit cards were obviously were under the credit limits. This went on for several days. After several complaints, where they tried to blame all the cards each time, they finally accepted one of the Thai debit cards for payment.

However, about a month later, when I tried to order something else they again rejected payment from all the cards, starting with the one they had accepted payment from just four weeks previously and again tried to say all my cards must be faulty.

I canceled my order and will never use them again.

Thanks.   I'll keep that in mind.

What did you buy and how is it?  I was thinking of the Chuwi Hi 10 dual boot tablet and keyboard/case.

I bought virtually the same thing...................Cube Iwork 10 Flagship plus keyboard and case. They're made by the same company and I can't honestly remember why I chose the 'Iwork 10' version over the 'Hi 10'.

Had it for seven months and been very happy with it so far. In practice I find I use the android option of the system far more the the windows 10 option. Also I very rarely use the keyboard, with a good on board touch screen keyboard that pops up automatically when the keyboard isn't attached I find I only attach the keyboard for the rare occasion I need it for convenience.

I bought two because my mate wanted one as well. He'd had an Ipad 2 for a while but was getting fed up with the restrictions imposed by apple and some of the apps he wanted to use that weren't available for the Ipad. He very quickly decided he preferred the Cube Iwork 10 Flagship much more than the Ipad and gave the Ipad to his stepson.

Forgive me, but why not order through Lazada.co.th? It is available through them from Chuwi, delivery is a bit long though.

A bit more expensive, long delivery time and it seems to say that there is no warranty beyond the Lazada 7 day return period.

Warranty type No Warranty Provided

I just purchased a 3D Printer from Gearbest

Its about 5400 THB
The same printer in Lazada is over 13,000 THB and its not stocked in Thailand, but needs to be imported.

I dont really trust Thai people and would prefer dealing with a company that is no so up themselves

However... Ive done a lot of trade with InvadeIT and always happy with their service :)

I assume the thread starter ( @ricklev ) has a new laptop since February

It's would be very helpful to hear from the thread starter what the outcome was

I did buy a Cube iplay 10 from Gearbest last month. https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_639367.html

No problems paying for it with my Bangkok Bank Visa debit card.  There was some weirdness in their shipping and communicating with me about the shipping that was annoying.  Ultimately it was delivered after about three weeks and I'm happy with it.  Great tablet considering it was about $100.

Mostly it was a test run before I buy a more expensive 2 in 1 from them but reading reviews of their shipping and customer service didn't fill me with confidence.    I'm going to play around with this for awhile and see if I really want a better one.
