Beer should taste of malt and hops

The same as wine should taste of grapes and not all the b..s..t wine experts talk about.

I tried a couple of bottles for the first time tonight and I have been trying to identify the underlying taste. It's not particularly unpleasant but it's a taste that I don't associate with beer. After a while I realised that I'm tasting Weetabix.

Anyone else agree?

Then it's OK to have for breakfast !

Never drank Federbrau before but it has the same smooth taste like heineken, really nice to drink. It's a change from all the German taste copies, ie Leo/Chang, no "mady in Germany" bitterness feature, which I also really much enjoy.

The Thai beer scene is  changing slowly. Cheers have done riceberry, orange and strawberry beer lately.

Beer Lao has entered 7 11. Asahai white is also in 7 abeit expensive.

The new Snowy beer by Singha is similar to Hoegarden.

Support the new options then things may change

Tried this when it came out last year, quite liked it. I don't generally buy beer to drink at home though.
