Golf

Featured Replies

Are there any cost efficient ways of playing golf in Samui for residents? Santiburi green fees look pretty steep and I remember vaguely that Phuket used to have special prices for residents during the week.

thanks in advance

I think cheap charlie Wednesdays are still in effect. Officially called sports day or something but it was usually around 2100 all in. Also there is the golf society that gets wednesday prices all the time. Been a while since I played so you might need some confirmation.

Yes you can join the Samui Golf Society for THB 2000 then you can play any day for THB 3500 plus we give the Caddy THB 400 ( 300 is min )
Ask in the pro shop how to join the society and who is running it now as it has changed from last year

Is that at any of the golf courses?  or just Santiburi Golf club?.... I think there is a nice course near Lamai  too, hard to find the road up there,  then one up near the Bophut traffic lights to the road that goes to the left where the private clinic sign is (begins with P..... )

My reply is for Santiburi only
Played Lamai one but did not enjoy my choice

I second the comment on the Lamai course, the term Mickey Mouse comes to mind. Nice greens but almost nonexistent fairways. Waste of time.
