Getting To Surat Thani/koh Pha Nang

Featured Replies

I will be in Cha-am next week for a few days and would like to get down to Koh Pha Ngan afterwards, are there buses or trains from cha-am or huahin.

Ideally i'd like to get one bus direct to the ferry terminal as we dont have much time in thailand and i want to minimise the amount of time spent waiting for/in buses.

Thanks

Hire a taxi in Hua Hin or Cha Am, takes you direct to the ferry teminal at Don Sak.

Remember to agree the price up front

There are no direct busses that I know of. You would have to change busses in Chumporn. This is not normally a problem. In a semi-developed country like Thailand, (where many people do not have cars) busses run frequently, from about 6:00 a.m. until about 6:00 p.m.

The LOMPRAYAH company run a VIP bus out of Hua Hin which departs at 8.30am and again at midnight ... this service runs down to Chumpon to connect with their catamaran which stops briefly in Koh Tao and then onto Koh Phangan.

If you take the 8.30am service you will arrive in Koh Phangan at 4pm and if you take the midnight service will arrive at 10.30am in Koh Phangan.

You will be able to reserve a ticket at any travel agent in Hua Hin and Lomprayah also have their own office there as well. :o
