Airport Questions

Featured Replies

Hi, just had a few questions about the new airport if anyone out there can help. Flyin in from LHR in 2 weeks and first time to the new airport. Got a couple of hourse before i get my flight down to the islands. Coming from Dublin, then LHR- Bangkok & then to the islands and was going to collect my bag in Bangkok and recheck in at Bangkok Airways desk, bit worried bout my bag making it all that way!!

Does anyone know if its going to be a problem from me to go from Baggage Claim straight up to Departures so I dont have to leave the airport. Is it going to be easy to get upstairs again from arrivals? Just wonderin thats all, im sure itll be fine but after 12hr flight last thing I want is to get lost in a maze of endless corridors, worrying bout checking in again on time !! Thanks a million :o

If you are flying Thai you could probably just check your bags in at Heathrow and book them all the way through to wherever you are going.

On the other hand if your final destination is say K Samui with Bangkok Airways then you will have to pick them up on arrival at Suwanna,go through customs, and book in again at domestic to K S (assume )

Anyway wot-ever dont worry its easy and... Mai P rai....cheers... :o

Not difficult at all. After you pass through immigration, collect your bags, and exit customs, just find the nearest travelator heading up and go up two levels to Level 4 and find the Bangkok Airways check-in counter on Row F. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes after exiting customs. It's all in the same terminal building. After check-in, go through the security point at the far end of Row C, and make your way to Concourse A where I believe all Bangkok Air flights depart from. They have a lounge there also, but don't know what Bangkok Air's policy about using it is.
