Chumphon | Recommendation for where to live as an expat

Would greatly welcome recommendations on the best areas / projects / buildings etc to live in the Chumphon area. Rent initially.
What are the most popular places for foreigners to stay?

Factors I place importance on include:
- At least some ex-pat community. Social, recreation etc.
- Not more than say 15-20km or so from city centre, or within the city
- A nice view would be a big bonus
- Outdoor space
- Decent quality accommodation
