Ok so two months ago I applied for my German long term visa. They told me it would take between 1.5-2 months for a reply to arrive.

Now that two months  are up I still have not gotten a reply and I'm starting to get worried.

I called the German embassy  several times and have only gotten the"no voicemail " reply from the answering machine or operators picked up just to hang up again.

So now I'm just wondering  what I should do? Any suggestions would  be appreciated.

Instead of calling them, why not e-mail them?

https://bangkok.diplo.de/Vertretung/bangkok/de/Kontakt.html

(select "visa anfragen" from the drop down list, enter familyname, first name, street, town, country, telephone nr).

It might also be useful to know your nationality (and that of your spouse if you happen to migrate together with your partner) and specific type of visa (D, immigration but with the purpose for what? study? family migration? work? other?).

And I'm goig to guess here but:

I would also have expected them to give you some sort of letter confirming that you handed in your application and how to contact for updates or questions. If only for all you know because something went wrong such as they having your contact details mixed up and thus being unable to sent you the result or ask you to submit more documents. And I would expect them to give more then a phone number that apparantly does not really seem to work...
