BANGKOK: -- Troops and police nabbed 38 alleged gamblers at a gambling den in Pathum Thani on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off, some 40 troops and police raided the den, which is a large one-floor hall on Soi Lake Side in the Nawa Nakhon industrial estate in Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district.

The hall’s walls are made of gypsum boards and there were security cameras installed around it.

The cameras apparently alerted the gamblers and some of them managed to flee by breaking through the gypsum board walls.

The authorities seized Bt831,661 and gambling equipment.

They arrested 22 men and 16 women, including eight Myanmar and Laotian nationals.

It can be done, but takes some effort unless very thin sheet, and if the wall studs are not as I recall at the somewhat standard 18" on center
