Govt expedites solutions to international civil aviation issue

BANGKOK, 20 April 2017 (NNT) - The government has expedited solutions to the international civil aviation issue, as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will conduct the Universal Security Audit Program (USAP) at Don Muang Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport this July.

The meetings of the 5th committee for driving and reforming the administration and the committee for driving and reforming security, reducing disparity, agriculture, natural resources, environment, urgent agendas and solutions to the problems of implementation according to international obligations chaired by Deputy Prime Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan has acknowledged the progress in solving the problems in the fisheries industry after the European Union inspected Thailand's accomplishments during 17 -24 March.

Thailand has taken corrective measures by tracking unregistered vessels or vessels without a license, providing clear fleet management and is utilizing a vessel tracking system. The EU has been informed of the Thai government's intention.

For solving ICAO issue, all relevant agencies have strictly followed ICAO’s recommendations prior to the organization's scheduled USAP of Don Muang Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport this July.

Seems like the "government" is only spurred to action in the weeks leading up to an inspection?

They love their "committees: here, one assumes everyone gets paid for participating on these committees and attending meetings?

Were the first four committees successful?
