tate & lyle syrup

I can't find this syrup - 'golden' or preferably the darker type. Wondering if anyone has seen it on sale anywhere in Chiangmai. Or failing that, a good quality molasses.

Thank you. It wasn't available at my local Rimping, Nawarat. I'll look in the other ones.

I have a feeling that Iv'e seen syrup at Yok...not 100% certain though.

Could have sworn I saw it in Rimping Nawarat 2 weeks ago but there were only 2 tins.

Bought some in Yok about 6 months ago but haven't looked for it since.

Yok have it in tins, Big C on superhighway have it in plastic bottles.

The tins are the better deal. They have even brought out a version in the plastic squeeze bottle with butterscotch flavour.  Might be ok on icecream I suppose.

 

Great stuff for making fudge and other sweet things.

Kaseem store near Warorot do not have Tate & Lyle but they do have a variety of syrups and also jars of 'Organic Molasses'.

Rimping ,Meechok Plaza has 3 tins in stock,124 THB, they also have some jars

of Thai Molasses  97 THB.

Thank you for the specific pointers. I shall be looking in Rimping Meechok, bigC, Yok & Kassem - and hoping to find the dark sort.

Nothing in Kasem (Chiang Moi), I was in there today. Only maple syrup and those flavoured syrups.

It was there & I bought a tin. Don't know how I'd missed it before. Thanks.
