First time without Visa Agent

Featured Replies

Hey all, my Thai gf and I are going to try and submit a visa for her to come to Australia on a tourist visa online by ourselves, we have used an agent the first 2 times, but we now know what docs are required so figure we should do it our selves. My question is I can do a lot on line but last time she had to go to Bangkok submit her passport etc, she said there was a form which needed to be filled out in English which the visa agent did for her, since she cannot write English very well does anyone know what this form looks like? Also if I do it online from Australia, what does she need to take to Bangkok and how do they ensure my online submission is joined with her documentation?  Thanks in advance

Done it 3 times myself as her agent. Never had an issue.

Thanks pcliff069, do you know what your GF had to take to the embassy in  Bangkok, e.g. passport etc and any forms they had to fill out there?

chers

The last time never went to the embassy at all. It was all done on line. You will have to go to Bangkok to do biometrics. Us being in Hua Hin was a pia. I'm in Vietnam now so haven't got full details at hand. From memory it cost about 250 oz$

That gave us a 12 month 3 month at a time tourist visa. Which is pretty standard.

cheers mate sounds like you got it sorted well, so she will have to go to Bangkok to do biometrics, should i be submitting all her info online at the same time or does she take that to Bangkok? Lastly what does she do with her Passport as last time all the info was submitted in hand including passport at the same time in Bangkok

churs again

All your / her documents will be attachments to the application. So get your scanner ready it's got a bit of work to do. I believe not 100% sure that all this stuff has been out sourced to a mob I call the visa factory off Sukhumvit in Bangkok. They may or may not (obviously) contact your wife to clarify a few things or basically snoop. We are married and in our case they didn't. A mate not married they didn't either another they did. I'd have all the documents with me but it seems a bit random on phone calls need for interview. Sorry this is a bit rough finger typing on the phone. Feel free to ask more.

Mate this is great, cool so did u just get copies of your wife's passport and attach these documents? Also do they then call her up and tell her she is required to do biometrics or does this need to be done first and attached to the inline submission

cheers

Testing the old memory. Pretty sure it was approved subject to biometrics. All correspondence was via email. Pretty much a total online thing. You should register with Border and do a run thru. Also I think you can nominate language if contacted make sure it is Thai. But you as agent do everything in English.
