Hey.

I know this is an easy searched for question. But I'm wondering if anyone is having the same problem right now.

I've waited 20 days for a letter to arrive. Quite an important one as well which isn't good haha.

I think maybe with songkran lasting a full week here in Pattaya that the post offices down here have been affected more than elsewhere ?

It was sent first class as well.. no tracking sadly.

Cheers !

I dont get much post but all of it seems to arrive eventually. Important documents (usually credit cards and suchlike) are sent by Royal Mail tracked which seems to add a few GBP to the cost.

I've noticed that according to the tracking it only takes a couple of days for letters to get to Thailand, then anything up to a week to get to the local delivery centre, then anything up to another week for them to get from the local delivery centre to my condo front office and then up the elevator to me.

IT's got another 4 days to arrive then I have to leave this condo without it. It's the only reason I'm still in Pattaya lol.

Praying I go down there today and it's arrived ...

Any idea how long a courier like DHL takes?

If this isn't here by the time I move from here I'll need to try and get it over another way.

A letter sent to me ordinary airmail from the UK on March 6th 2017 finally got to me in Thailand on April 10th 2017. Slightly over a month. Fortunately it was nothing important.

If you want to be reasonably sure of receiving a letter/small packet from the UK, I suggest asking the sender to send it registered airmail.

I think they have a 48 hour service, and possibly a 24 hour one too.
