I have had one since Mar 2017. The build quality is not that great, lots of rattles here and there. We had only two issues so far, battery dead and middle seat rattle. Both fixed by dealer no charge.

Gas consumption is not bad on long distances (600+km per tank), but city driving on E85 is terrible. 95 is better for city driving but still consumption in the city is terrible.

Space is ok but if you have two kids chairs then getting into the third row requires a climb over from the back. Unless you want to remove one of the chairs, then you can have easy access. Midsize adults can fit in the third row for short distances. With three rows up you have very little storage space. With the third row folded up you have ok storage space. With all the rows folded down you get bigger space but the floor is not level. If you have two child seats in the middle row you cannot put a third person in the middle unless they are also a young thin person. Kids that are 2 years and up will be able to kick the front seats so it does not have much space with average adults in the front.

Power for the car is ok as it gets around fine, turning is decent and the size of the car you cannot feel while driving. Brakes are fine for the vehicle even when loaded with 7 people. But you have to adjust your accelerating and stopping accordingly. Cruising on the highway 80-110 is fine. Visibility is fine, side mirrors are a little small but they are ok. If you have 7 passengers or taller people looking out the back is obstructed.

The biggest issue is that it does not have a defrost for the windshield. There is a area on the dash that looks like it should have a cutout for a defroster but it is not open so no air can get on the windshield. So you will have to wipe the window to clear it if it fogs up.

Bluetooth connect to your phone is good and you can make and receive calls easily. But it is a basic head unit with not many features.

Air conditioner is great and gets the car very cool quickly, it has a mid mounted unit in the middle of the headliner and that gets the back nice and cool.

My car has leather seats and after a year of use they are holding up  nicely.

If I were to do it over again I would try the Toyota Sienta as having a sliding door with kids is much easier then opening doors in these tight parking spots they have over here. The reason we got the BRV was they had the vehicle and had better promotion at the time.
