May 13, 20178 yr Python-scare for patrons of roadside larp shop By The Nation Patrons of a roadside larp – Isaan-style curried minced meat and pork – shop in Pathum Thani province, were terrorised by an unexpected intruder on Saturday morning – a python hanging from the roof. The snake scared both the customers and the owner of the shop in Tambon Klong Nueng in Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district, prompting them to call rescuers at 8.30am. Rescuer Thirasak Thongdee managed to capture the python, which was about two metres long. He said it would be released into the wild at Khao Yai National Park. Shop owner Paengsi Indee said she was not aware of the python hanging from the roof. A customer, who had just dropped in, spotted the snake and alerted her, leading her and other patrons to run out of the shop. May 13, 20178 yr Having attempted to hold/release such a python at Takhli, in much younger days, can attest they are extremely strong if they have any leverage.

I can attest that they have an extremely hard bite and with the teeth pointing backward very hard to retrieve your hand.Still carry the scar.

May 14, 20178 yr Really not sure this is a newsworthy story. Guess it must have been a slow news day. Here in a moobaan on the outskirts of Bangkok get pythons this large and larger on a regular basis. Smaller snakes the security guards deal with (the blue plastic pipe can't take the weight), but the large pythons need a local government team with proper equipment.
