Back Rasher

Featured Replies

Does anybody know where to get decent back rashers either British or Irish. The ones available here have very little taste.

Perhaps it is the PC salt policemen doing their utmost to destroy the taste of our food. It has gotten so bad, that I stopped buying them or eating them anywhere.

Thanks for your help.

Makro do some frozen sliced loin bacon. It's not a real back cut as it's known in the UK and it isnt cured to the same extent but it might suit you. Worth a try. While you are there try some of their frozen sausages which are great, and vastly superior to the things that BigC do and which shrink away to nothing when you cook them.

Simple Simon's in Jomtien soi 5. A kilo pack is around 260 Baht.

Going to try a pack of these. I've been repeatedly disappointed by the offerings in most of the well known breakfast places.

I think you will like them. Two sorts, around 250B for a kilo pack. One sort has herbs in and I found them quite salty: a bit too salty to eat alone but great as toad-in-the-hole or as sausage rolls. It may have been just the batch I tried. The regular sort were fine on their own.

At the big Jomtien Makro you can find them in the end of the freezer just opposite the yoghurt.

Ate my first one of these this morning.

Just wanted to say a big thanks as it tasted just the way I want them.

I've been looking for literally years over here to find sausages I liked.

Cheers.
