U.S. ambassador to Panama resigns, says cannot serve Trump

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador to Panama John Feeley, a career diplomat and former Marine Corps helicopter pilot, has resigned, saying he no longer felt able to serve President Donald Trump.

Feeley's departure had been communicated to State Department officials on Dec. 27 and was not a response to Trump's alleged use of the word "shithole" to describe Haiti and African countries at a meeting on Thursday, U.S. officials said. Trump denies using the term.

Trump can discount it, as he discounts everything/everyone that doesn't praise him.  His spokespeople, if asked, will probably say something like,

"He was a nobody. He isn't rich, therefore he doesn't matter.  Next question."

A lot of Walmart employees are on SNAP and spend their food stamps at Walmart.   Win/win scenario for the Waltons.

It is the minimum entry level wage. I'm not sure how they survive on it. Nor am I sure how McDonalds workers survive on their minimum $10/hr wage or Starbucks workers survive on their average $9.34/hr wage. I do know that the Federal Minimum Wage in many of the states Walmart operates in is $7.25/hr So on a relative basis things could be worse.

That the federal minimum wage is so low is shameful. It has been there since 2009. Paying people such a low wage ensures no income tax revenues from these people and makes them eligible for all manner of federal handouts, including Medicaid, food stamps and probably housing subsidies. This amounts to a de facto subsidization , corporate welfare if you will, of these companies by the taxpayers.

It’s true. Walmart workers, and other like them survive on government assistance, especially food stamps for their basic sustenance. It is shameful that, in a developed country—“the greatest countryin the world”—people working full time aren’t earning enough to pay for basic sustanance, aren’t guaranteed paid maternity leave.

A lot of so-called entitlement s aren’t benefits for slackers, but benefits for corporate moochers.

True.  military also.   I know more than a few who did brief stints in US military, and are getting monthly checks for the rest of their lives.   Politicians don't want any mention of that.

Either you consider 20 years  of service "brief", or you know veterans with disabilities.

Correct. The only "angle" I'm aware of that some military personnel work is upon being discharged coming back to work in a very similar capacity as a civilian contractor.  But I blame the government for the expansion of civilian contractors not those employed in that capacity.

Report: Trump lawyer brokered $130,000 payment to porn star

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer brokered a $130,000 payment to a porn star to prevent her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Trump, according to a report Friday in The Wall Street Journal.

Trump met Stephanie Clifford, whose goes by the name Stormy Daniels in films, at a golf event in 2006 — a year after Trump’s marriage to his wife, Melania. According to the Journal’s report, Clifford began talking with ABC News in the fall of 2016 for a story involving an alleged relationship with Trump, but reached a $130,000 deal a month before the election, which prevented her from going public.

I guess it's just 'modern Presidential'! Nice voting USA. I bet Pence and his wife are choking on their cornflakes this morning.

So you disagree with the politician that agreement on 90% of issues is not a high enough threshold for inclusion? That is your right. Just as it is your right to whine when your party loses at the polls.

Not if that 10% disagreement is an ignorant racist belief. How about you? You ok with including bigots in your theoretical coalition just so you can win elections?

Employees who have worked for at least 20 years will get the full $1,000, but most will get up to a few hundred dollars.

Out of curiosity how did the one million hourly workers previously survive on US$10 p.h. I assume an extra US$1:00 p.h. will not make any real difference to quality of life; is that correct?

Word of warning: DO NOT do an image search for “Stormy Daniels” in a crowded coffee shop.

And how is his encounter 11 years before his election related to his qualification as a president of the US?

You never had sex with a hooker?

Don't answer, we all know where you are.

No, I have never had sex with a hooker.

Trump is a mysoginist. He denies everything, yet all the evidence points to the fact that all the 'stories' concerning him are actually true. He displays great family values going with a hooker 1 year after marrying Melania, and considering he aims at the evangelicals as part of his base, they need to have a rethink! Clearly you don't need a rethink as if he was caught in a public toilet with a chicken on the end of his dick you would just say it was "locker room behaviour, whats the problem'.

It isn’t that he had (paid?) sex with a porn star a year into his third marriage, but that they paid her off during the 2016 campaign with a fair amount of money to NOT talk about it. Could it be because she intended to talk about Trump’s possible pee-pee prediliction?

We don’t know, but it would be irresponsible of me not to speculate. ?

The evangelicals who support Trump are the biggest hypocrites on the planet; their support for Trump isn't going to change just because of another seedy story.  They go through all kinds of (il)logical contortions to justify their conclusion that Hillary Clinton was somehow responsible for Bill's cheating and therefore unqualified for office, while insisting that Trump's three marriages and history of infidelity aren't important.

That is disgusting. How dare you malign this lady. Trump says he has never slept with Stormy Daniels. He HAS talked about his desire to date Ivanka though,

Look, let’s not malign the lady just because she does whatever she has to for money and fame, even, perhaps, skirting the law. Stormy Daniels on the other hand is engaged in perfectly legal employment.

Don't know if a photoshop picture. However, Kim attended international school in Switzerland for seven years - it's understood his classes were primarily taught in English. He would have some knowledge of  German and French
