RIght. And, this threshold was surpassed hours ago, according to the NYT, and, I think, the AP, too, and maybe even MSNBC. So, Harris.... Why don't you just cough it up. Her verbosity is annoying enough, without her suddenly going silent, when we actually want to hear her make this all-important speach. No need to delay, me thinks. She just CAN'T TAKE the Heat of Politics.... Me thinks. -

I'm quite looking forward to him taking the same approach to unnecessary government employees that he took to Twitter employees. I think he laid off 80% of the staff at Twitter and (despite all the noise from the "armchair software engineers" that have never done anything more advanced than opening or installing a web browser that Twitter would fall over within weeks) it carried on working just fine after that 80% had gone. I expect there are many government employees currently dreading receiving that email from Musk asking them to provide evidence on what they have been working on and what they have achieved in the last week, just as he did at Twitter. -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
It's over we are tapped out there's no more money , ammo and with Ukraine no more men 100,000 have deserted from the front lines over the war and who can blame them. Besides which European allies need all the kit and ammo they can buy and are building mega defences on the borders. Time for that messy peace which was on offer at Istanbul if Putin accepts that is. Europe and the US should have stayed the hell out of this war but they didn't and now Ukraine lies in ruins virtually a failed state. I think the most likely scenario is Trump tells Putin if he stops the war now he can have the bits of Ukraine his army have occupied. Giving Russia a land bridge to Crimea and lots of valuable industrial/mining areas.The stick will be If Putin doesn’t stop the war and agree terms Trump will arm Ukraine to the teeth.And he’ll tell Zelensky if he doesn’t agree to those terms he’ll stop supplying weapons and support.Putin will insist as part of the negotiation that Ukraine don’t join NATO. Zelenskiy will probably resign in that event he looks totally burnt out now railing at the betrayal of everyone before the never surrender uber-nationalists take him out. You really don't poke the bear it was always just enough not to lose but never enough to win and Trump won't forget Zelenkiys visit to Pennsylvania during the election to the ammo works. -

Don't need to do anything sinister to Kavanaugh. They've already frightened him into compliance. And Coney-Barrett was always a single issue (abortion) justice anyway; she'll mostly vote with the liberals from now on.
