A Thai stepfather slashed the neck of both his wife and his mother-in-law in a jealous rage earlier this morning at a house in Mukdahan.

He did it because his wife's ex husband turned up to pay school fees.

The wife's daughter from the previous marriage ran to neighbors covered in blood to say that her stepfather had attacked her mum and her gran.

The Phoo Yai Ban in Wan Yai district, Rakchart Sanohsiang, 59,rushed to the scene to find the double murder in a bedroom. He then called the cops.

The murderer Malai Bunthom, 38, had fled the scene in a pick-up truck belonging to his slain mother-in-law.

Police found 60 year old Kaew Inthijan and Orathai Inthijan, 28, dead from having their necks slashed with a knife.

A manhunt ensued that centered on the hometown of Malai in Nong Bua Lamphu. He was found there later yesterday having a last meal and waiting for the cops to arrive.

He admitted what he had done to police. He said he was angry after his wife's ex turned up to give her money for her daughter's school fees and some cakes.

Following the murders he drove to Sakon Nakorn where he dumped his bloodstained clothing and the knife by the side of the road.

He then drove via Udon Thani to his home district of Na Klang where he told his relatives what had happened. They advised him to give himself up.

So he had a meal and waited for the cops to arrive.

At 4pm yesterday he was taken back to Mukdahan.

Scum like this are coming up with weaker and weaker justifications all the time.

Are they really this stupid?

Tragic. The responsible  father of a young girl shows up to help his "ex-wife" pay their daughter's school fees and this creature kills both the wife and her mother.

Must be the best reasoning I ever heard for murder :bah:.

You would think he would go after the ex, but instead he decides to take his anger out on his own wife and mother-in-law. Damn coward.

And you'd rather the ex not contribute to his kid's education like a deadbeat dad?

Must have been the cakes that put him over.

He could have just sent the money via bank transfer. 25฿ in fees and could have save both lives and not the trauma that was witnessed by his daughter. But live in cheap her.

But agreed, but have been the cakes

Here is aother murderer that needs to be taken to court, then killed off quickly, Thailand does not need

people like this continuing to breath air.

Geezer

There is a lot untreated mental illness walking the streets ....... and as that is a low priority on any-ones scorecard, this is just going to keep happening.

Does anyone even proof read these stories?

in a jealous rage earlier this morning

Anyway, still another tragic loss of life, and certainly not something a 9 year old should ever have to witness. The worst part is sh1t like this is happening on a daily basis around the world and the children are the ones who suffer the most.

I hope they make an example of him, although that doesn't really seem to work on other spineless psychopaths anyway..

Why waste valuable court time... he didn't give his wife or gran a hearing!!

treat him like a mad dog.... take him round the back & dig a hole "as my old man used to say!

Probably he was jealous because he could not pay those fees himself.

Yes, quite possibly. You would think any "outrage" would have been more legitimate had the ex NOT turned up with the cash ( fragile ego, no self-control, loss of face= disaster waiting to happen).

Sadly, mental illness (for the most part) is not recognized as such in Thailand. It is usually diagnosed as spirit possession, bad karma, having an unlucky name at birth or any manner of superstitious beliefs, but rarely recognized, reported to and diagnosed by a medical professional. First stop for family members is usually the village soothsayer/shaman/witchdoctor who will prescribe ritual exorcisms and tell fairytales.

I say again ; your average Thai male between the ages of 18 to 40 is just a wild animal. No education and must be No.1

He was probably visiting his daughter and the cakes being for the kid, you know kids love treats, sending the money via transfer is for those that don't want to or cannot see their children for reasons too numerous to mention, .e.g. x wife doesn't permit it, or x husband doesn't want to see the kids.

Looks to me that the parents were responsible, x wife grants access to the x husband to see the kid/s, he pays support money and gives some cakes for the kid/s, then is on his way, perfect, but not so when you have a jealous boyfriend.

Cannot fathom jealousy, it destroys everything, like a cancer !!!

The father will now have to consul his traumatised kid/s and raise them best he can, and being a single dad and raising a kid, isn't easy, having been at the coalface.

God give him strength

Best quote I have heard all day, to add, put him in the hole, hit him on the head with the shovel and start filling in the hole with cement.
