Who is this internet cable provider?

Featured Replies

I assume this an internet fibre optic cable or at least an internet cable. It is about 120 metres short of my house on the outskirts of a village in Sakon Nakhon. I tried caĺling 3BB call centre as they were formerly TT&T but they just said they would ask their sales staff to call me. Shouldn't be TOT as I am currently on their Wiinet.

Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks

The POT is from a old joined venture between CAT and TT&T. Most of the infrastructure cables became the property of CAT after the joined venture ended.

Be aware that seeing Fiber Optic cables in your street not automatic means you can get Fiber Optic Internet at your home. Most of this cables are so-called infrastructure cables that can provide cell towers connection or provide WIFI access to spots around town...

Thanks Richard-BKK and KhunBENQ, understand what you're saying. Will ask the TOT technicians about the cables.

Please tell me this is an optical illusion, and they didn't mount their box directly to the Electrical 3-Phase Neutral Mains Power Cable!!!

Hey, @Crossy, another pic for your 'only in Thailand' scrapbook.

Yeah, optical illusion, the box is hanging off the thin messenger wire that supports the fibre, you can see where it is attached to the pole to the left of the box.
