Fire wrecks electronic-parts warehouse in Pathum Thani

Fire-fighters in Pathum Thani spent two hours extinguishing a blaze at an electronic-parts warehouse on Wednesday morning. The facility was empty at the time and no one was injured.

 

The roof collapsed and a preliminary estimate put damages at Bt10 million.

 

Police said the fire at the Vega Automation warehouse in the Mueang Ek 6 housing estate in Mueang district’s Tambon Lak Hok started about 7.30am.

 

Employees said no one was inside the warehouse because working hours hadn’t yet begun.

 

Tambon Lak Hok Mayor Sompong Sri-anan speculated that a short circuit might be the cause, but an investigation would be needed. He quoted the company’s owner as saying damages would amount to about Bt10 million.
