oh yes, the smell at some of the outdoor food vendor sites is often savoury for the wrong reasons; before they were moved on the vendors and their customers near central world were permanently cooking and consuming food within the aroma of drains and sewerage. i could never understand it myself but the locals didnt seem to mind, i guess if you're used to something it becomes normal.

 

living in my previous apartment block i had some neighbours who cooked the most foul smelling food. but then i love the smell of indian food....
