I heard that there are quite a lot of Russians visiting Thailand right now. The simple reason is that

they are tired of the Russian lack of foreign foods and beers and drinks so they come to Thailand

in rainy and low season to get good shopping deals and a break from Russia. I do believe tha TAT

cooks the tourist numbers so that they look good in their work positions, and if the bosses and

managers believe the numbers,they are all in dreamland. That is Thailand.

No that stopped a few weeks back as I've been traveling daily to a gym in jomtien from Pattaya

 

. Definitely a very thin Russian crowd but high season was totally out of control there were tens of thousands all trying to get the baht bus into Pattaya

 

I think that with all of the tourist dollars that come into Thailand mainly from their international

airports, the government can have enough money to keep the airports up to standards. If there is a strain on the

airports, deal with it. Keep the corruption down, and use the money properly,  not in the second or third houses,

wives or girlfriends and the like.
