Could you recommend me a nice, clean room in BKK for 1-3 months. I haven't really found any myself. All the condos require 3+ months contract and a clean hotel room near a BTS is usually 50-60k or more / month.

 

My budget would be 30k ฿ / month max inluding electricity, water, WIFI. I don't need a big room, but it would be nice to sleep well, so the room should be quiet and with no old noisy aircon-unit that makes me sick at night, shoots the el. bill through the roof and sounds like a tuk-tuk.

 

The room should be near BTS, I plan to study Thai near Nana/Asok, but not so interested about the seedy side of Nana.

 

Or is 30k too little in BKK nowadays?

 

 

Where did you look ? 30K should be easy to find decent room.

I have rented many condos in BKK and Pattaya for 30,000. A month on Airbnb. In BKK always A minute or 2 from bts and has internet, AC, a pool, security, exercise room etc.... easy to find one. Full kitchen, washing machine, even 2 bedrooms... 30,000 a month with no lease or paperwork.. takes a minute to rent.. pay by credit card too.

Never used AirBNB before.  Always thought about possible scams or myself being responsible to report immigration about the address.

 

I have been browsing it and there are some nice looking places, but many with very mixed reviews. Some say it is super, some say it is filthy with cockroaches. Same place. Not usually this mixed with hotels. :)

 

But thanks... made a profile there and will keep looking!
