BANGKOK: -- A picture taken on a bus at the Victory Monument in Bangkok shows a young child being taken to work by the driver.

Not just that - a bed with cuddly toys has been set up right by the gear lever and front window with the little child standing up next to dad.

Netizens commented in droves about the inappropriateness of the behavior especially from a safety point of view.

Manager reported that the route is the number 92 from Pattanakarn to Victory Monument and that the child was likely the son of the driver.

Maybe that is the solution, is less supercars and luxury condos and more child-care for working families, but I guess that would be socialism, can't have that, it is bad.....

Common on 1 or 2  buses on Charansanitwong...drivers with their wives with either  1 or 2 kids in tow...occupying 1 or 2 seats...baby bottles...smelly diapers...blankets...toys.....but oh well......

At least he is working, helping to provide for his family, not just sitting at home doing nothing but drink.

My one concern, is that something better should be fixed for the childs safety.

Well, now the submarines, the helicopters, the tanks and as of yesterday also some eight training aircraft from South Korea have been ordered and purchased ............

....... so maybe there is some loose change left for something like free education, adequate pay for low income workers (provided they work, like this driver, it seems) and free kindergarten?
