NONG KHAI: -- Wildlife checkpoint officials in Nong Khai yesterday detained a Laotian woman after she smuggled in three fishing cat kittens for sale at a border market.

Fishing cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) is a medium-sized wild cat of South and Southeast Asia.

Thai wildlife officials arrested Suntalee Pimmapee, a resident of Haad Donkoo in Borikamsay province while she was seen offering to sell the kittens to shoppers at a border market at Ban Pengcharn in Kumphavapee district.

"...detained a Laotian woman after she smuggled in three fishing cat kittens..."

Need to purchase those other submarines pronto, for protection. Who knows how many more kittens are being smuggled in and threatening national security?

Under 'VU' (vulnerable) conservancy status. :post-4641-1156693976:

These three specimens happen to be the extremely rare Prionailurus viverrinus Canadensis. They are indeed vulnerable, however, as their parents refused to label them as being either male or female, the Cats United Now & Tomorrow (C.U.N.&T.) global governing body has had them officially labeled as U (undefined).

I have recently contacted the Big 3 cat foundations: Professions United to Search for Sad Yowlers  (P.U.S.S.Y.) and Yowlers Escaping Atrocious Sadistic Traps (Y.E.A.S.T.) as well as Cats Help Elevate & Erase Sad Emotions (C.H.E.E.S.E.) and thus far they have heard nothing.

Sad.............
