Saudi Arabia investigates video of woman in miniskirt

The authorities in Saudi Arabia are investigating a young woman who posted a video of herself wearing a miniskirt and crop-top in public.

The woman, a model called "Khulood", shared the clip of her walking around a historic fort in Ushayqir.

The footage sparked a heated debate on social media, with some calling for her arrest for breaking the conservative Muslim country's strict dress code.

Investigators are already huddled in a conference room for hours. In 4 hours, they've come out once, that was for more tissues and another barrel of handcream.

Astroglyde is available in Saudi rather than hand cream.  The sales Something to do with the Saudi tradition of adult males liking young boys , or so I am told. Females come a close second though.

I thought goats and camels ranked pretty highly on the list. Whatever, it says a great deal about the mindset of people when a woman moderately dressed can get the masses into a frenzy. It says to me that praying 5 times a day, isn't good for your mental well being.

What a load of b....ocks. She's got her back to the camera so who knows WhoTF she is.

You should have seen, some the underwear shops in Saudi.!

Yeh, but they can wear what they want underneath that lovely black sheath.

And this is the culture many want to welcome via migrants and refugees to the West?

Maybe I should take a video of the Saudis down in Kuala Lumpur at the Chinese massage places and then slamming down liquor and ciggs downtown ? or is that permitted now under their strict version of Islam ?

I believe those activities are legal in Malaysia. However, there are "Muslim" social laws in Malaysia that pertain to ethnic Malay nationals but I'm not sure about foreign Muslims visiting the country.

1) Prostitution not legal in KL, these spas are not just massage places, the KL version of Thai soapies.

2) When I went to Genting Casino, there were guards who questioned you when you went in as to whether you were Muslim or not. Some Iranian travelers on the bus, changed clothes in the restrooms and the girls wearing headscarves showed up in the casino with mini-skirts.

3) In supermarkets in Malaysia, there is always a section for Chinese pork products and liquor sales and the sign overhead states that it is a violation of law for any Muslim to buy these products.

Well you said "massage" places not soapies in your post. So I guess Malaysia protects the virtue of all Muslims in the country...good for tourism in Thailand I'd say.

Today the Nation of Saudi Arabia suffered a collective apoplexy. The incident occurred after news of a "woman in mini skirt" hit the main stream. It is uncertain whether Saud Arabia will recover from this catastrophe, as their leadership is still unresponsive and in a catatonic state. Akbar!

Bunch of stone aged twits who party privately and use religion to control the people. Oh wait, I just described the Republican party too !

700 years ago a young, pretty woman was worth a fortune.
She could easily be exchanged for 20-50 camels.
Because of the fear of robbers and thieves, they have completely concealed their treasures under full-length robes.
This ancient way of thinking still characterizes their society until today.
Without the wealth through the oil, this cult would have disappeared in insignificance,

because of their total inability to changes and their powerlessness to create any progress.

Always thought it was the other way around.

Bombing and killing women and children in Yemen - no problem

Wearing a mini skirt - an outrage

This is the culture, and corrupt monarchy that your governments support by $billions of arms sales used in a minor way to arrest the OP woman, and but also to murder thousands of civilians in Yemen.

If you dont tell your govt reps you dont like the sort of people they are propping up with your taxpayer funds, you are just as culpable.

Do something to prevent the cause, not complain about the effects.

It still doesn't mean I want such cultural norms imported to the West.

The latest is that she's been found and arrested by the Saudi authorities. Apparently she was accompanied by her male guardian and that this video was taken at some historic site of the founders of Wahabism (probably not the best place for a woman to go wandering about in shorts and a crop-top).

Is Islam the most insecure religion in the world, or what?

They're so insecure about their beliefs, they're always on the look-out for someone who might offend their religion. For starters, how can a religion get offended?  It's a thing.  It doesn't have a brain.  Only a human brain can get offended.   No other species can get offended.

Muslim men are so insecure about their sexuality, that they can't abide a woman showing her legs.  I'm a guy, and can hang out at a nudist beach with nude young women strolling/frollicking all around, and I don't go apeshit.  I simply appreciate beauty where I see it.   I must the the polar opposite of a Muslim.  There's nothing that offends me - not a word nor a nude human, or anything else.   A Muslim couldn't understand that.  It would be like trying to explain astronomy to a cow.

She turned around and the camera go her face. It was put on Facebook by friends. Therefore you get the owner of the Facebook account put crocodile clips on their gonads and apply voltage. Viola you have the name of the girl no investigation needed.

will they whip her or stone her then?

Likely to be soon. She has been arrested and i bet right now is crapping herself.

Many people in Saudi have said " If it were a foreigner - no problem is it,"  and they refer to the recent visit with Melania and Ivanka wearing short skirts, "but if its a Saudi woman it is an outrage".

Well this is the nation that is now President Trumps new BFF! Great! Decent folks traveling to Disney world worry about visa's now and the USA sells these lowest of the low on the human rights list 100 billion worth of war machines. The moral of the story - who gives a frakk! Money is everything.
