KANCHANABURI: -- A reward has been posted for information leading to the arrestr of two youths who attacked an airman's son at a Kanchanaburi mall.

The two youths - from a rival college - went up to the 16 year old engineering student and hit him about the face and arm.

Then one of them is alleged to have said: We've got the wrong person".

The pair then fled leaving the victim batter and bruised.

The victim's father is a senior airman in Ratchaburi. Sanong Somprasong, 43, said his son had only been studying in the western

Thai province for seven weeks and the attack was completely unprovoked.

Footage was posted on Facebook along with a 10,000 baht reward.

A local politician has also got involved calling on the police to get a move on and find the assailants, reported Thai Rath.

It happened Friday around midday in a parking area at the Pha Suk Market.

What has who's son it was got to do with anything?

Oh right, it's got nothing to do with the crime in Thailand, it's got everything to do with who does what to who.

Sick society.

2 on 1 sneak attack from behind.

Typical.

....and then the time "honoured" tradition of running away as fast as they can.  Sniveling little cowards.

Wonderful how all the bystanders just accept this as part of Thai society and do absolutely nothing to intervene. Surely with the CCTV and the witnesses it should not be too difficult to nail the two sphincters !

Wha the h.....  is wrong with people, just standing there and doing nothing.

Because once you have been here a long time you know that if they get involved there is a very big possibility that they will end up being stabbed or worse.

It's also a fair bet that if you as an expat get involved then you will end up getting a beating from the people who are standing there doing nothing.

Not just here,it could just as well happen in the US. I have lived here a long time and still won't let something like this happen without interfering.
