July 28, 20178 yr It's unfortunate really. It's not ideal to have the patient decide how long the course should be as this may lead to people stopping treatment too early. Not enough research done, and I suspect that if such a comprehensive study of all drugs in all situations is ever developed, it will lead to great confusion all round.
