THE NATIONAL Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) vowed it won’t spare any politician found involved in the bribery scandal of UK giant Rolls-Royce paying off former executives of PTT and PTT Exploration and Production.

NACC secretary-general Sansern Poljeak said on Friday that the commission had recently given its three commissioners – Supa Piyajitti, Pol General Sataphon Laothong and Surasak Keereevichien – joint responsibility for investigation of the scandal.

He revealed that former executives and members of the board of directors of the two state enterprises were responsible for procurements and they had been accused of receiving tea money from Rolls-Royce. He said so far no evidence linking former politicians had been found.

Should new evidence suggest the involvement of former politicians in this corruption case, the NACC would go after them, he assured.

They clearly have either not been looking very hard, or are leaving it to one side until after the new Brown envelopes have been counted.

seems one of the hallmarks of corruption, practiced thai style, professional corruption is hard to prove; corrupters are talented at what they do; no paper trails, future favors and promises, etc

Just more  hot air, making threats seems to be the norm here now.

A few years ago the boys at Thai Tobacco made over a million dollars in kick backs.

Highly publicised court case in the US with the culprits I think doing goal time and cash paid as a fine. About $750k.

What did the NACC do. Nothing. Even with the court notes and the names of the culprits they did nothing.

NACC have a strong reputation for not getting their man or women. No high profile culprit has been taken to task by them. Except YL. But that was more a strategic military plan, set out by the junta.

Nothing going to happen in this case.....same as Thai Airways case....same as always....!

I think in the TA case they already came flying out of the blocks to note that statute of limitations has expired on the 2 noted timeframes prior to the last one which coincided with TS.

Cannot possibly have the notion that there was corruption prior to TS. He is the bogey man and invented it in Thailand.

They will be spared by death if nothing else as by the time it has been 'Investigated', 'Probed' and numerous 'Committee's', 'Sub-Committee's', 'Panels' etc have been instigated there will be no case left to solve before all involved become ashes !

Don't forget all the RR stuff will be in English so the highly skilled, speedy and accurate translators will be called on some time in the future for assistance, well we think they will be asked, yes we do....

UK and Thai diplomats have already decided who will be the fall-guys. Mutual diplomacy will rule that embarrassment to the Thai officials of the "Insiders Club" will not occur.
