Pathologist's grisly shock - woman lying dead in a bedroom is his colleague

A pathologist who went with police to the scene of a shooting in Pathum Thani yesterday found that the victim was his friend.

The 39 year old woman named only as "Cha" was found shot once in the temple. On the floor was a "pen gun".

The victim who is thought to have committed suicide was a ballistics expert and colleague of the pathologist attending the scene with police and Ruam Katanyu foundation medics.

Her father told Daily news in tears said that his daughter was in an adjoining room as he, his wife and son were relaxing next door.

There was a shot and they rushed in the room to find her dead. He said that his daughter was taking medication for work related stress and was being treated by doctors at a mental health facility in Ratchathewi.

Pak Klong Rangsit police said the body was subsequently taken for a full autopsy but she was believed to have committed suicide.

There must be tremendous stress involved in such an occupation.

A tragedy for the family and friends of the lady.

I don't think it was the job for a minute, but the drugs the doctor subscribed.

Often like playing RR itself, with symptoms and conditions misdiagnosed and frequently treated with a one size fits all attitude.

..it is a demanding and can be stressful at times, however most have the necessary mechanism to handle the sights and odours. More than likely her private life. IMHO.

RIP young woman.
