howto Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Was able to access my LINE acct 5 days ago, now can not. On a Samsung S4 GT-I9500 mobile, - have not changed devices - have not deleted account - have a ID - app not installed on the SD card This is a serious event. I've had this account since 2015, a dozen+ friends, threads, calls. Any suggestions to re-enable, to see my stuff ?? The LINE website is somewhat worthless.
soumanioco Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Try to access your account on a PC or Mac. Line will need to send you a passcode on your phone in order for you to authorize the access to your account on the computer. Let's see how this plays out. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
HampiK Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 if you have registered an email, then you can try to log in on a computer. As you wrote you can't find the App... try to Install Line App again. Then use the same phone number or ID. If your account still available then this should be no problem.
howto Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 The app is there on the phone. It now takes me to a weird 'logon' screen. Entering my email and password wants to 'delete contacts + messages from previous device'. I do not have a previous device. I choose cancel. Installing LINE app on my old desktop ,,, wants to send a code to the phone for acceptance you have 2.5 minutes to reply ,,, can't do that, as I cannot access LINE on the phone I never used my phone # as part of the org setup. There is no way I see to enter my userID. Either by the phone, or by the desktop. Cannot access 'setup' either. I am being very cautious at this point. Thanks for the replies.
soumanioco Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 What seems to have happened is that somehow your account is currently active on a different phone, hence the message to delete previous account. But if that were true then your old account is already gone because every time you change phones you have to delete your old account and start afresh. I hope I'm wrong. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
A1Str8 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 It happened to me. I took another phone, put the SIM card in it that I registered with and opened line. On the login screen it asked for phone number verification, I entered the number, got a verification code, sent it. Got logged in on that device. And this deleted all line data on the previous device.

I had similar effect 3 years ago and again 2 years ago, when I cleared junk files or cash file or accidentally logged out of Line. At the end, I had to agree to "delete messages from previous device" (even if it was the same device) to get it working again.
Ace of Pop Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 My Wife restored it yesterday on this new Phone Line was Ok so she DLoaded from App Store .Then she entered GMail address Got 4diget code in the mail back in seconds, entered it into the new App and all retutned Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
2008bangkok Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 One annoying thing about Line is not being able to use it on multiple devices at the same time, actually thats a lie you can use on phone and Ipad but you cannot use it on phone and android tablet for some reason. We live in the world of multiple devices.
