Well we all watch ESPN

Last night Macca, Shebbi, Jamie and Mase were asked to pick their team of the year.

Macca went for ITALY

Mase chose LYON

Shebbi chose BARCELONA

and good 'ole Jamie chose READING

Good ole ..("buy UK Land.... I DID") Jamie

have to agree about some of them, although I think that Jamie and Macca are OK.

Shebbi and Ronnie Wheelan are terrible.

But what is worse is the Football Crazy gang...they are terrible..especially the bird ..Charlie something...fair play she has good legs but she knows five eights of fukc all about football.

That PJ guy and the fat one....I really hate it when I have to watch my team play and get analaysis from a complete bunch of tossers

The football coverage from the Star Sport's gang is awful. They are tryin to be hip and cool but for anybody who is non-asian or over 16 years old, their coverage just doesnt appeal. I would far rather listen to Shebby Singh talking <deleted> over on ESPN than watch Andy Penders and his sidekicks.

For team of the year, I'm sure they would all have selected Barcelona but they all wanted to be different to make it more interesting. As far as English team of the year goes, I think Reading was a good shout.

He is actually a good guy!! Comes over here regularly and enjoys a pint or 20.

Unlike several punters on TV he has actually played professional football. He has several very close friends involved in the football game (Sam Alladyce is his best friend) and he has a genuine interest in football, teaching kids throughout Asia.

I agree about Shebbie, who is actually a standing joke with the other punters!!

Nah..I did not mean Mace..he's OK ..and at least he is English although his only claim to fame is that he palyed a few times for Mansfield or a team like them(Wherase Macca was agreat player and has managerial experince) PJ is Australian so how can he understand anything about football..let alone host a show about it!!!..its the fat guy ...Henkie or something..long hair(dreads)..knows nothing about footy..he is on football crazy with thet <deleted> Andy Pendars (Southampton Fan)...PLEASE...

Don't know Jamie"s credentilas ..but he seems to know his stuff whereas ..you are right Shebbi is a JOKE...how many English players called "Singh" out there,,and he is Malaysian!!! wonderful credentilas for a football pundit...NOT... I really enjoy it when they have a half decent name on the show..like Sir Bobby or even Bryan Robson...they talk sense NOT CRAP

Yeh I agree. I think he must be like the token Asian on that show similar to Shebbie.

By the way amongst the teams that Mase played for were Birmingham and Stockport County!! But as I say a great drinking partner

Watching Shebbie can be painful at times. Especially when they have a special feature where Sheb has to do some kind of tactical analysis or similar, and he has to actually try and demonstrate some football knowledge rather than just sitting back and reeling off the clichés.

But it's still marginally better than the debacle that is the Star Sports coverage. Reminds me of when ITV in the UK made the huge cock-up of getting Gazza in as a pundit for the 2002 World Cup - so bad it was funny at times.
